When I took my first "real" math class four years ago, I was not confident in my math abilities. I was confused and relied on ineffective resources for math help. I chose to provide math tutoring specifically because early math courses are a gateway to a future in STEM. I have seen numerous peers drop out of math courses because the class environment was not welcoming and they could not get extra help. I feel passionately about making sure that younger students do not have a fear of math so that they are not held back from pursuing whatever future they envision for themselves. I created G Math Pages to accomplish this goal.
I have taken Algebra1 and Algebra 2, Statistics, Geometry and Trigonometry and I am currently a Calculus student. Although I am proud of my academic achievements, I think that the education process has not been equitable to students who cannot access tutoring or resources that are necessary for success.
